Hatteras is a lesser-known part of the Outer Banks. My family had a house down there for about six years. We were a two minute walk from the beach and would rent it out. Every Thanksgiving, we had the house, and we would take my cousins and go!

Although the car ride is long, the stars during the night are very bright. Once you get to know the island, you’re a part of it.
